The Board of the Saint Stephen School of Hungary Foundation, in daily communication and collaboration with its Auction Committee, Lisa D'Ambrosio, Liz Blostica, and Jenna Wagner, and Ms. Burke and Father Baker, has been monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19. In this rapidly evolving situation, the Board has determined that the Auction, originally scheduled for March 27, 2020, ought to be postponed to a new date to be mutually agreed upon with the venue. Guastavino's for its part has been a good partner and is cooperating fully, in fact extending the contractually agreed upon date to reschedule for a full year.
With respect to items donated to the March 27 Auction, the Auction Committee expects to announce details of an on-line auction shortly.
Although we share in your disappointment that we will not be able to gather together for this annual celebration later this month, we remain grateful for your generous support of the Foundation and School. To those who have purchased tickets, those tickets will be valid for the rescheduled Auction, in which case you need do nothing further. As other alternatives, you may request the Foundation either to convert the monies paid to a tax-deductible gift to the Foundation, or request a refund.
